Service Description
A mitigating risk preventative program funded by the Ministry of Social Services. There is no predefined focus for this service; the service topics are defined by the client. Some common service topics include:
- Effective parenting strategies
- Parent-teen cooperation
- New problem solving or coping skills
- Living a healthy lifestyle
- Establish and maintain positive relationships
- Connecting to resources in your community.
The Diversion Service may be considered short term (3 – 6 months) or shorter.
Application Process
Self and family agency referrals are welcome.

Hours of Operation
Support is provided weekly, 7 days a week, evenings and weekends available - appointments are scheduled by the client and the Family Support Worker.
