Service Description
A secure, free mental health chatbot that provides Canadians with an easy-to-use tool to find the right mental health services and programs. It can also provide information on general or specific mental health related topics.
It uses Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to respond to a person. The more conversations it has with an individual, the more it will learn from those conversations and be able to provide specific information.
NOTE: MIRA is NOT a mental health professional. It cannot give medical advice and is not a counsellor. It does not provide treatment recommendations and cannot diagnose people.
MIRA was developed by Mood Disorders Society of Canada, in collaboration with the University of Alberta, Dalhousie University, the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health, and other collaborating organizations.
