Service Description

Trained adults mentor youth (ages five to 19) in a one-on-one or group setting to enhance their self-esteem, self-regulation and social skills. They also connect youth to supports and activities within the community.

Staff work Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm and are available to assist with the following:

  • Home/school visits
  • Positive role models for youth
  • Transportation assistance
  • Connect/build relationships with youth and their families
  • Accompany youth to appointments
  • Assist youth with resume building/job searching
  • Assist youth in filling out forms for ID, Birth Certificates, Health Cards
  • Assist youth in filling out forms for sports/recreation such as Kid Sport and Jumpstart.

Eligibility

Youth ages five to 19.
