Service Description
A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 35 children between the ages of six weeks and until the day they start kindergarten. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

Philosophy

- Parents may share concerns and ask any questions about the care of their child.
Programs and Activities
- Program based on the Reggio Emilia approach to education with the following principles:
- Children must have some control over the direction of their learning.
- Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, and observing.
- Children have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore.
- Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.
- Focus areas include:
- Development of language, math, science, social studies, creative art, and motor skills.
Nutrition
- Children’s food is prepared at the Centre according to guidelines provided by The Ministry of Education.
- Menus are based on the Canada Food Guide – planned to provide a nutritionally balanced diet for the children.
- Menus are posted every Monday on the Parent’s Lounge-Bulletin Board, in each room and on the HiMama app.
- Limited juice is given to the children
- Care is taken to use as little sugar and preservatives as possible and to include a wide variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, legumes, cheese and egg dishes.
- Centre will not be able to accommodate any personal or religious food preferences – parents are responsible for reviewing the weekly meal plan and providing alternate meals.

Fees
Offers full-time spaces only. Infants (6 weeks - 18 months) $747 per month, Toddler (19 months - 30 months) 484 per month, Preschool $322 per month. Child Care Subsidy accepted.
