Service Description
Provides speech and language services for adults of all ages. Services offered include, but are not limited to:
- Aphasia (difficulty speaking or understanding words)
- Dysarthria (difficulty making sounds correctly and cearly)
- Acquired Apraxia of Speech (difficulty planning movements of the tongue and lips for speech)
- Fluency (stuttering)
- Voice and Resonance (vocal strain and misuse, hoarseness, quiet voice, nasality)
- Reading and writing (difficulty with these tasks following damage to the brain)
- Cognitive communication disorders (memory, attention)
- Aural rehabilitation (hearing loss)
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Social Language (using language for different purposes and following the”rules” of a language)
- Artticulation and phonology (dificulty saying specific speech sounds)
- Lee Silverman’s Voice Treatment (LSVT).
