Adult Academic Program

Service Description

Helps students obtain their Canadian Adult Education Certification (CAEC; a Canadian education credential for those who do not have a high school diploma).

Offers two different classes:

  • Literacy/Pre-CAEC
    • Helps students build skills in reading, writing, math and computers

    • Helps students begin to understand the structure and content of the CAEC exams

    • Helps students prepare for employability

  • CAEC
    • Helps students prepare for the CAEC exams

    • Includes course related skill development in all five CAEC test subjects (Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies and Math)

    • Delivered Monday – Thursday in person

Eligibility

Canadian Citizens or landed immigrants who are:
- Motivated and able attend a full-time academic program
- May have completed a Modified Grade 12 but NOT a Regular Grade 12
- Not currently enrolled in a regular Grade 12 program
- 18 years of age or over
