Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 17 children between the ages of three to five years. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

Participation is welcome on PAC and field trips, etc.

Philosophy

• Provide quality child care that will nurture the whole child – physically, socially and emotionally.
• Encourage independence and respect for selves and others.
• Service is based on the need for each child to reach their potential at a rate suitable to their ability.
• Achieved through an age-appropriate environment that encourages the children to learn at their own stage of development and ability.
• Goal is for all children to be safe and secure, both emotionally and physically.

Programs/Activities

• Offer gym class three times per week.
• Go on field trips throughout the year.
• Guest speakers come and visit throughout the year.
• Montessori is an individualized approach to education for children that helps each child reach full potential in all areas of life.
• Montessori concentrates on the “whole” child.
• Student-centered approarch that encourages creativity and curiosity, and leads children to ask questions, explore, investigate and think for themselves as they acquire skills.
• Principal goal is to develop the whole personality of the child. Each child is different and therefore should be respected for their uniqueness and ability to learn at their own pace.
