Therapeutic Group Homes

Therapeutic group homes available in the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Communities of Pelican Narrows, Southend and Deschambault Lake. Preference for admittance are Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Members:

• On-Reserve
• Off-Reserve
• Other First Nations Youth
• Male and Female youth 10-15 years of age.

Programs help youth address their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs by helping them:

• Meet their goals
• Get involved in activities
• Galk with others
• Find positive ways to feel good about themselves
• Learn social skills
• Find better ways to solve problems
• Talk about their feelings
• Encourage youth to stay in school.

Provides a holistic healing using traditional and contemporary practices and ensures that children maintain their language, cultural and traditional values.

Parents have the opportunity to receive parental support and skill development to foster healthy family relationships.
