Service Description

Provides services to help integrate newcomers into the community and find the information, resources, services and support needed.

  • Settlement Supports – Helps immigrants and refugees learn about their community, including information about health care, housing, immigration and schools for children.
  • Services for Temporary Foreign Workers – Helps temporary and foreign workers learn about their new community, clarify forms and applications, connect them with cultural or faith communities and refer them to other programs and services.
  • Settlement Supports for Ukrainians Arriving in Alberta – Helps Ukrainians settle in communities across central Alberta. Services are free and confidential and offered in Ukrainian and 70 other languages.
  • Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) – Assists newcomers with with several services that support a smooth transition into the school and community.

Lloydminster and 150 kilometer radius into both provinces. The Alberta side includes the county of Vermilion, town of Vermilion, and any villages and hamlets in between.
