Service Description
Offers a comprehensive range of programs aimed at enhancing child and family well-being by reducing family isolation, supporting healthy child development and providing information to support positive parenting. They act as a visible, inclusive and welcoming access point for ALL families in the community.
NOTE: Family Resource Centres are prevention models of service delivery and provide free child development programming to families and caregivers with young children (zero – five years). Some of the specific information and resources provided by Early Years Family Resource Centres include:
- Opportunities for children through play-based activity, family groups, art, music, movement or other preschool programming
- Parent education through formal and informal learning opportunities, drop-in programs and seminars
- Family wellness and support initiatives to assist in identifying and building skills that support child development and overall family health and wellness
- Information and referrals to other children development-related community services.

Families and caregivers with children under the age of six years.
