Service Description
Provides intensive, in-home support to families and individuals on a voluntary basis, or as contracted by the Ministry of Social Services. Family Support Workers can help families identify family strengths, stresses, skills and risk areas. They teach:
- Problem solving skills
- Communication skills
- Age appropriate child development and parenting practices
- Household management
- Organizational and daily living skills.
Offered in partnership with the Ministry of Social Services.
Eligibility
At-risk families.
