Service Description
A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to seven children between the ages of six months and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence.
Philosophy

- Shares knowledge with parents to make sure the success and needs of their child care being met according to family values, culture, and language.
Programs and Activities
- Focus on free play and incorporate structured activities to give children balanced and extensive experience.
- Circle time involving all children – read books, involve children in songs, dance, and give a chance to every child to speak and share their thoughts, emotions, or anything special that the kids want to share with their peers.
- Children are engaged in outdoor or indoor play – for indoor play, children explore different sections.
- Takes children outside in the backyard to run, play, feel close to nature, burn their energy.
- Outdoor and indoor play helps children to enhance their gross and fine motor skill, promote cognitive, social-emotional development, respect, and love for nature and exploration.
Nutrition
- Serves nutritious hot lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks.
- Follows Canada Food Guide and every meal prepared includes the food from each food group including vegetables and fruits (fresh or frozen such as peas, broccoli, carrots, apples, berries, bananas), whole grains (whole grain bread, bagels, pasta, quinoa, brown rice), protein (turkey, chicken, fish, ground beef, lentils, beans, tofu, and milk or alternatives such as yogurt and cheese).
- Snack consists of two or more food groups – includes a serving of fruit or vegetable and one other food group.
- Lunch includes food items from all four food groups.
