Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to eight children between the ages nine months and 13 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi languages.

Programs and Activities

• Daycare offers a diverse range of activities and resources to engage children throughout the day.
• Inside and outside, children have access to a variety of play materials including push toys, books, art and craft supplies, manipulative toys, as well as water and sand tables.
• Recognize the importance of fresh air and physical activity in promoting healthy development.
• All children enjoy a minimum of one hour of free outdoor play each day, weather permitting.
• Aim is to foster holistic development and cater to the diverse interests and needs of every child in their care.

Nutrition

• Follows Canada’s Food Guide and Child Daycare Regulations to provide balanced meals and snacks.
• Menus are available for parents, and food is never used as a reward or punishment.
• Ensure mealtime safety by preparing food to reduce choking hazards. (e.g. peeling apples, chopping grapes)
• Children are encouraged to try new foods and feed themselves, but modifies foods as needed for safety.
• A meal or snack is served within three hours of opening, and no more than three hours will pass between meals and snacks.
