Service Description
Emergency childcare for families in crisis
- free and confidential
- meals, diapers, infant formula, clothing provided
- trained childcare workers offer supervised activities
- space for up to 10 children
Eligibility
Parent or family experiencing a crisis and is unable to take care of their child(ren) (ages 0-12)
What is a crisis?
A crisis is an emergency within the home that makes a parent less able to care for their child such as
- chronic mental or physical health conditions
- relationship difficulties
- domestic or sexual violence
- postpartum effects
- housing crisis or homelessness
- parenting stress - especially for single parents
- prevention of childhood abuse or neglect
- lost children
- support for parents when getting treatment for addictions
