Service Description
Helps individuals and families in financially vulnerable situations build and buy quality affordable homes by reducing barriers to home ownership. Homes are sold to qualified homeowners at fair market value and carry an interest free, zero down payment mortgage set at 25% of their gross annual household income.
Eligibility
- Must be willing to partner with Habitat by volunteering, paying an affordable mortgage, and becoming a good ambassador for Habitat homeownership.
- Currently live in substandard housing.
- Must have combined family income below the ‘Low Income Cutoff’ set by the province of Saskatchewan.
- Are unable to access homeownership in any other way

Fees
Partner family must complete 500 volunteer hours within 24 months, of sweat equity as down payment.
