Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 10 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi languages. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

• Facilitate children in explorative, dramatic and creative play to develop their abilities to grow socially, physically, mentally and spiritually
• Children have consistent care that allows choices, reflecting their interests and abilities
• Acknowledge the dignity, uniqueness and worth of each child with respect to their family, culture and society.

Programs/Activities:

• Daily: open-ended activities, snack, fine and gross motor activities based on child’s interests (science, sensory, art, outdoor play and walks according to weather conditions)
• A predictable routine to ensure quick transitions between activities
• Due to children being unique, adaptations are made to meet their needs
• Provide plenty of toys, educational materials and learning activities appropriate for different ages
• Welcome parents’ input, suggestions and ideas to enhance programs.

Nutrition:

• Provide nutritious meals and snacks consisting of a variety of fruit, vegetables, salad and breads
• Offer two snacks and a lunch at regular scheduled times that meet the Canadian Food Guide recommendations
• Allergies and intolerances will be taken care of
• Menu is posted on bulletin board by the entrance; can easily be viewed by parents
