Service Description

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 12 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in Urdu language. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

Philosophy

  • Committed to supporting families by maintaining open communication and encourage parent involvement in the programming and care activities.
  • Objective is to care for your child the same way you would.
  • Parents are welcome to talk to the child care provider, visit, and attend special events – it’s also good to share their cultural background.
  • Believes that effective communication between the child, child care provider, and the parent/guardian is very important for the child.
  • Phone calls, texts, or emails are helpful resources to contact parents.

Programs and Activities

  • In programming activities for the children, child care provider follows the play-based learning philosophy – develops activities centered on stories, songs, math, fine and gross motor skills, circle time, etc.
  • Believes the early years of a child’s life are very important for their future academic success and positive self esteem.
  • During the day, child care provider provides lots of activities, morning circle time, snack time, clean up, and then free play where children can choose according to their interests – this time also helps social skills – also do group activities, arts and crafts, modeling clay, play dough, etc.
  • After lunch, children have a nap time/quiet time so they can get rest – after nap time is another snack and then according to the weather they go outside and play.

Nutrition

  • Believes healthy food is very important for healthy growing children.
  • Provides meals and snacks according to Canada’s Food Guide every 3 hours.
  • A menu will be posted at the entrance so the parents/guardians will know what their children will be eating.
  • Children will not be forced, but encouraged to eat.
  • Eating is an enjoyable experience.
  • Child care provider will sit with the children and encourage interaction and conversation about the food, what they did last night, etc.
  • If a child has a special diet or food allergies they will do my best to accommodate them – parents may be required to supply food.

Fees

Offers full-time, part-time, casual, drop-in spaces.
Full-time: Infants $630 per month, Toddlers $600 per month, Preschool/Kindergarten $500 per month, School-Age (School Year) $350 per month, School-Age (Summer) $500 per month.
Drop-in/Casual: $40 per day. Contact for more details.
