Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 12 children between the ages of eight months and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi languages. Child Care Subsidy accepted.  

Parents/guardians are welcome to volunteer.

Philosophy

• Believe that providing a safe environment and building healthy relationships with children are extremely important when nurturing children. 
• It is very important that children learn positive social skills, problem solving, responsibility, independence, and proper manners in their time here. 
• Program will support the point above by creating a positive environment and different activities to fit each individual child and help them learn and grow. 

Programs and Activities

• Program maintains a stable routine to ensure that every child is aware of activities and is sued to a singular routine – the routine may differ occassionally according to any special activities planned in advance. 
• Follow activities on a daily basis including exercise in the morning, free play time, art and craft, nap time, circle time (reading book and stories), and outdoor time. 

Nutrition

• Serve meals and snacks to each child according to their ages and developmental level. 
• Aim to serve healthy and nutritious meals and snacks. 
• Number one priority to ensure every child is fed appropriately at the right times. 
• If there are any special diets, restrictions, or allergies they will serve food according to that.
• Nutrition is something they always consider because it is extremely important that every child receives the nutrition they need at their stage. 
• Meals and snacks provided will have a portion of everything a child needs such as fruit, vegetables, meat, etc. 
• Meals and snacks will be served at a clean table, where every child will have to finish eating first before moving on to another activity. 
• It will be a calm atmosphere to make sure there are no unnecessary distractions.
