Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 12 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi languages.

Programs and Activities

• Outdoor Exploration – children will have the opportunity to pick apples from the back yard, encouraging them to connect with nature and understand where food comes from
• Physical Activities – will incorporate ball games such as soccer and catch, helping children develop coordination, teamwork, and gross motor skills
• Creative Arts – children will engage in making crafts such as holiday cards, paper toys such as boats, ice creams, clothes, etc., which will help them build fine motor skills, creativity, and self-expression
• Sensory Play – a sandpit will be introduced for sensory exploration, where children can interact with different textures, engage in imaginative play, and develop sensory awareness
• Building and Construction Play – using blocks of different materials and sizes, and simple construction toys, children will practice problem-solving, spatial awareness, and creativity
• Movement and Dance – will incorporate group activities involving dancing, hopping, and skipping to music, promoting rhythm, fitness, and creative expression
• Imaginative Play – pretend toys related to real-world activities such as fishing, doctor play, and shopping which encourage children to engage in role-playing, enhancing their social, cognitive, and language skills while allowing them to explore everyday activities in a fun and imaginative way

Nutrition

• All menus follow Canada’s Food Guide to ensure children receive meals and snacks that meet their nutritional needs​
• Weekly menu will be posted on Parent Notice Board
• Children will be served two snacks and one meal adhering to nutrition guidelines
• Parents are welcome to send a lunchbox with their child if they prefer, especially for specific dietary restrictions or dislikes of the meal on the menu
• If child requires infant formula or baby food, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to provide these items
