Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 12 children between the ages of six months and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi languages.

Philosophy

• Child-Focused Care: Put the child at the center of everything they do – goal is to create a safe, caring, and exciting space where kids can grow and develop physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually
• Safety First: Make safety a top priority for everyone – ensure that environment is secure for all children and follow all the necessary safety rules
• Empathy and Respect: Treat every child with kindness, respect, and fairness – appreciate and celebrate each child’s uniqueness, including their culture, background, and family

Programs and Activities

• Health and safety are major concerns – programs have sanitation areas, and makes sure all shared spaces are cleaned regularly – always encourage children to wash their hands before and after meals and after using the bathroom
• Children are transported by parents/guardians and are responsible for pick up/drop off
• Parents/guardians permission is necessary for extracurricular activities, field trips to playgrounds

Nutrition

• Menus will follow Canada’s Food Guide and children will be served snacks and meals every three hours – always try to fulfill their nutrition needs
• Children are encouraged to try, eating is an enjoyable experience and a wonderful opportunity to promote language development
• Serve a variety of vegetarian dishes, boiled eggs, omelette, and other food options
