Service Description

A licensed child care home that providers care and supervision for up to seven children between the ages of six weeks and 13 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in Bengali language. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

Programs and Activities

  • Develop activities centered on stories, rhymes, math, fine and gross motor skills, circle time, science, and arts/crafts.
  • Strive to prepare your children for their early school years by exposing them regularly to letters, numbers, colors, shapes, name recognition, and new vocabulary.
  • Activities include free play (toys, coluoring, puzzles etc.), circle time/learning activities, educational activities and programming, – arts/crafts, science experiment, story time, rhymes, literacy activities, outside play (weather permitting) – visiting local park, going on walk school yard, front/back yard.

Nutrition

  • Promotes the importance of eating healthy, well-balanced meals.
  • The current ‘Canada’s Food Guide’ will be used as a guideline to determine adequate amounts of foods from the four food groups (Vegetables and Fruit, Grain Products, Milk and Alternatives, Meat and Alternatives).
  • ‘Menu Planning Form’ will be introduced with weekly plan meals and will be posted on the display board.
  • For sanitary reasons, regular hand-washing and the use of wipes is incorporated daily into their schedule prior to eating any meals.
  • Throughout the day water drinks are available for the children as needed.
  • Under no circumstances will children be allowed to go to sleep with bottles in bed – this is to ensure safety (prevent choking) and to prevent dental problems, ear infections etc.

Fees

Offers full-time and part-time spaces only.
Full-time: Infants $700 per month, Toddlers $650 per month, Preschool $600 per month, Kindergarten $550 per month, School-Age (School Year) $450 per month, School-Age (Summer) $550 per month.
