Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 11 children between the ages of 12 months and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi languages.

Philosophy

• Believe that early experiences have a significant impact on the biology of the body and on brain development, with implications for lifelong physical and mental health and well-being. 
• There are a variety of ways in which early year’s programs can have a positive influence on child health and well-being. 

Programs and Activities

• Throughout the day, age-appropriate activities are held. 
• Believe in working with each particular child depending on their interest and skill. 
• Have a daily schedule for outdoor play, craft, story telling, painting, colouring, science experiments, and much more. 

Nutrition

• Providing nutritious food and beverages, creating positive eating environments, increasing children’s physical activity, respecting and finding ways to support each child’s varied physiological and biological rhythms. 
• Serves a morning and afternoon snack, plus a nutrition lunch prepared fresh onsite daily. 
• Weekly menus are developed in consultation with Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating.
• Menus are posted in the child care centre to assist parents in planning meals at home.
