Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 12 children between the ages of six weeks and 13 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence.

Philosophy

• Holistic child development – Prioritize growth in social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual aspects.
• Establish secure routines – Help children understand and feel secure within daycare environment.
• Self-discovery and guidance – Support children in learning about themselves and their interests.
• Nurturing atmosphere – Create warmth and love through kindness, cheerfulness, and even temper.
• Parent/guardian partnership – Establish deep understanding of each child’s uniqueness through collaboration with parents/guardians. 

Programs and Activities

• Morning routine – Drop off followed up by morning snacks at 9:30 am.
• Mid-morning activities – Circle time, kid fit, arts, and crafts starting at 10:00 am; possible walks to the playground on good weather days.
• Afternoon routine – Snack time at 10:30 am followed by clean up and lunch preparation.
• Lunch time from 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm.
• Afternoon nap at 1:00 pm for those needing rest, with quiet activities available for awake children.
• Late afternoon activities – Afternoon snack at 3:00 pm, followed by circle time and outdoor activities or art at 4:00 pm.
• Closing – Going home time at 5:30 pm. 

Nutrition

• Compliance with Canadian Food Guide – Strict adherence to recommended nutritional guidelines.
• Provision of snacks and lunch – All meals provided adhere to the four food groups.
• Breakfast Policy – Breakfast is not served, but parents/guardians can send food if their child hasn’t eaten.
• Meal information – Daily meals will be posted on the bulletin board for transparency.
• Allergy considerations – Efforts made to accommodate allergies, but parents are responsible for providing alternative meals if needed.
