Service Description

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 11 children between the ages of six months and seven years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English and French languages.

Programs and Activities

  • Language and Literacy: Children engage in both French and English learning sessions.
  • Arts: Children are encouraged to explore various forms of artistic expression, including visual arts, music, dance, and drama. Through creative activities and exposure to different art forms, they develop their imagination, self-expression, and aesthetic appreciation.
  • Mathematics: Curriculum incorporates hands-on activities and games to help children develop foundational math skills such as counting, patterns, shapes, measurements, and problem-solving. Emphasize the importance of critical thinking and logical reasoning in approaching mathematical concepts. 
  • Science and Technology: Children engage in hands-on experiments, exploration of the natural world, and introduction to basic scientific principles. They also have opportunities to explore age-appropriate technology tools and learn about their practical applications in everyday life. 
  • Physical Activity: Integral to their approach. Through structured gym and outdoor play sessions, aims to enhance gross motor skills, boosting confidence and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the children.
  • Aims to instill essential life skills and values. Program focuses on personal growth, celebrating differences, nurturing creativity, fostering an appreciation for nature, and promoting kindness and empathy.  

Nutrition

  • Prioritizes nutrition.
  • Offers morning and afternoon snacks that align with Canada’s Food Guide.
  • Lunch menus are carefully crafted to ensure a balanced diet suitable for growing children. 
  • Menus displayed on the parent bulletin board. 
  • If child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform them and they will request you provide meals accordingly. 
  • Parents are required to bring infant formula.
  • Meals are enjoyed seated around tables in a communal, family-like setting. 
  • Kitchen maintains high standard of hygiene in a meticulously clean environment. 
  • Children are taught the importance of hygiene, including washing their hands with soap before and after meals.
