Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 11 children between the ages of six months and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence.

Programs and Activities

• Balanced learning that ensures a balance between children’s need to explore independently and the need for adult-child interactions for maximum learning opportunities and safety.
• Play stations reflect interests and age-appropriate materials.

Nutrition 

• Meals and snacks meet the overall daily nutritional needs of children for the time they are in the daycare.
• Encourages table manners, independence, and appropriate conversation during meal times.
• Children are taught to scrape their own plate and bowl and put away their utensils in a designated place.
• Provides two nutritious snacks and a lunch.
• Weekly menu will be sent to parents and posted on the notice board.
• Menu prepared is carefully planned in accordance with Canada Food Guidelines. 
• Snacks will provide one serving from at least two of the four food groups. 
• Lunch will provide one serving from at least three of the four food groups.
