Service Description
A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 11 children between the ages of 15 months and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence.
Philosophy
- Believe that children’s physical and mental health and overall well-being depend on their being given the freedom to actively explore, research, take reasonable risks, and use creativity to solve problems.
- By fostering self-confidence and motivating kids to engage and speak positively, we hope to raise kids who love and believe in themselves.
Programs and Activities
- Eating, sleeping, and activity times are incorporated into the daily schedule.
- Although times and schedules are posted, they are used as guidelines to ensure consistency for the children.
- Schedules are adjusted, flexible, and seasonally adjusted based on weather and children’s interest.
- Acknowledge that children require some rest/relaxation time to balance their active play.
- Some children may take a relatively long rest period, and others require short periods, and recognizes that these needs may change.
Nutrition
- Provides pure vegetarian food.
- Child will be provided with lunch, morning snack, and afternoon snack.
- Each week’s menu will be developed and posted in the entrance way.
- Parents/guardians of children with food restrictions and allergies will be required to notify staff at the time of orientation.
- Parents/guardians will be asked to provide replacement meals.
