Service Description
Depending on where they are arriving from, students transferring to a high school in Saskatchewan must complete one of the following processes.
- Transferring from a Canadian Province or Territory: Students should submit their official secondary school records to the principal of the new school. The principal will evaluate and submit equivalencies to the Ministry of Education.
- Transferring from Another Country: Students within a Saskatchewan secondary program, transferring from another country, will be evaluated when they do not have a complete secondary education in their home country. Student records must be mailed to the Ministry of Education – Information Management and Support Branch and will be evaluated once the required official international documents are received by mail or courier. The documents will then be returned via priority post to the submitting school. Original or official documents from the educational institution, bearing the original signature and/or seal, are required for out-of-country evaluation. If external exams are required, original certificates from those examining boards are needed. Official documents must be in the original language with an English translation if needed that must be done by a certified translator. NOTE: Scanned, copied, faxed, emailed, photographed, or notarized/certified copies are not accepted and forged or altered documents will not be returned.
