Service Description
Family literacy programs give opportunities to learn about the:
- importance of language, literacy, and reading
- role that family members play in the literacy development of their children
- interactive literacy activities that support a child’s literacy development at home and in school
- ways to access learning resources through the library or their community.
Family Literacy Hubs work with schools, libraries, child care programs, preschools, family resource centres, and other community organizations to provide family literacy programs, services, public awareness, practitioner training and supports, and community outreach. Funded organizations acting as Family Literacy Hubs include:

- Foundations Learning and Skills Saskatchewan
- La Ronge and Area Family Literacy Hub – 306-425-4550
- Lloydminster Learning Council Association
- Moose Jaw Literacy Network
- Prince Albert Literacy Network
- Regina Region Family Literacy Hub
- Southwest Literacy Committee (Swift Current and area) – 306-778-5477
- West Central Literacy Committee (Rosetown and area)

Families and children from the ages of prenatal to 6 years.
