Service Description

A licensed facility that provides care and supervision for up to 40 children between the ages of 18 months and six years. Child Care Subsidy accepted. 

Parent run board of directors with the opportunity to volunteer.

Philosophy

  • Encourage children to appreciate and respect the diverse nature of humanity and the environment.
  • Believe and teach tolerance, inclusion, and open-mindedness.
  • Provide tools and the freedom to express their individualism through play and exploration.
  • Encourage children to be responsible for their own actions by using a system of logical consequences.

Programs and Activities

  • Art and craft activities to develop fine motor skills, eye/hand coordination, self-expression, innovation and creativity, and decision-making skills. 
  • Circle time activities to encourage positive relationships between children through engaging and fun activities.
  • Daily transition routines to provide assistance for bathroom, meal, and nap time procedures.
  • Creative self-expression through music and dance.
  • Sensory play, puzzles, block centre, outdoor play.
  • Encourage diversity through circle time activities, toys, imaginary play, books, and posters.
  • Plan activities that provide families with an opportunity to meet and socialize with other families (Christmas concert, potluck, volunteer opportunities, excursions)

Nutrition

  • Values the importance of nutrition in fostering a child’s physical and mental development for healthy growth.
  • Provides a snack and lunch menu that follows a 4-week rotation plan offering a variety of homemade baked goods, fruits, and vegetables.
  • Provide alternative nutritional items to support our families’ diverse needs and interests. (Halal, gluten-free, and allergen nutritional options)
  • Healthy nutrition is a fun way for our children to learn the variety of foods and interact with each other.
  • Centre follows the Ministry of Educations mandatory licensing menu guidelines and the Board of Directors policies and procedures.

Children between the ages of 18 months - 12 years.

Fees

Full-time: Toddlers $775 per month, Preschool - School-Age $720 per month. Drop-In $50 per day. (Available only for siblings of children attending the facility - call ahead to confirm if space is available) Late payment fee is $20 if account is unpaid for five days after the first of the month. If late fee is not paid by the 14th business day of the month, childcare services will be terminated the following day. Late fees charged if you pick your child up later than 5:50 pm: Between 5:50 and 6:00 pm - $20 Between 6:01 and 6:15 pm - $30 Between 6:16 and 6:30 pm - $40 If at 6:30 pm, you or your emergency contact person(s) cannot be reached, your child will be taken to the Crisis Nursery. An additional $1 per minute will then be added on to the $40 until your child has been transported to the Crisis Nursery. Child Care Subsidy accepted.
