Service Description
A traditional mediation process. When issues arise between the family and Child Protection, staff come into the home and do a traditional talking circle, which provides an opportunity to develop a more co-operative and open relationship with family and staff. It helps workers to see the client’s perspective and encourages families to take ownership and admit to issues in their life.
Objective of this program is to decrease the number of children in the care or at risk of coming into the care of Social Services.
