Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provide care and supervision for up to 28 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Child Care Subsidy accepted. 

Parent fundraising requirement of a shift at the fundraiser or there is a buy out option. 

May be able to accommodate children with delays and differing needs. Please contact for further information. 

Philosophy 

• Believes the most important component to providing quality care and education to children is valuing them as unique individuals. 
• Believes It is important for children to learn how to interact with their peers and adults in a healthy way through building relationships – this will lead the way to the development of problem solving skills, social skills, such as turn taking, and independence that is age appropriate. 
• Believe parents are the primary caregivers and know their children best and do their best to communicate in a way that parents prefer
• Parent input is valued and feedback is invited regarding the program.

Programs and Activities

• Has a play-based program that places a high value on unstructured outdoor time through all the seasons.
• Children can choose from a variety of activities throughout the day – both indoors and outdoors.
• Daily program is structured around routine times, such as meal times and nap times, with much of the other time being opportunity for free play. Educators are present to add to the play and offer learning tools or additions to the area to build on the children’s interests.
• Aim to provide content that is relevant to the families in their care. 

Nutrition

• Mealtimes are a great opportunity to learn about children and families through family style dining practices – where they all sit together to eat and visit making a pleasant experience for all.
• Mealtimes are also an opportunity to try new things and develop preferences. 
• A variety of options are provided throughout the weekly menu.
• Centre will provide breakfast before 8:00 am for early drop offs, as well as lunch and two snacks.
• Ask that infants on formula or baby food have their meals supplied.
• When possible, the centre does their best to accommodate special diets – families may be required to provide some alternatives when accommodations cannot be met.
