Service Description
Requires an assessment by a First Steps Wellness Centre therapist prior to starting exercise therapy sessions. Assessments take approximately one hour where muscle strength, abilities to perform developmental movement patterns and activities of daily living are tested. Following the assessment, information is provided regarding expectations for potential goals, time required in therapy, and types of exercises.
Eligibility
Individuals who are impacted by stroke, acquired/traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Charcot-Marie-Tooth Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Diabetic Neuropathy, Transverse Myelitis, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, Motor Neuron Disease.
