Service Description
Provides group counselling sessions to youth that address a broad range of violence and its impact on youth. This may include family violence, dating violence, bullying, gang violence, effects of war and trauma among refugee youth and general community violence that is endemic to society.
Group sessions provide a safe place for youth (ages 12 to 18) to express and deal with feelings honestly and directly. Program covers a number of topics such as types of violence, identifying emotions, anger and awareness of emotion, cyber-bullying, self-esteem, conflict resolution, coping skills and more. No fee required.
Funded by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General.
Eligibility
Youth exposed to violence, 13 to 18.
