Service Description
Offers emotional support, information, safety planning, and connections to additional services for individuals affected by intimate partner, family or sexual violence.
Services include:
- Specialized Victim Services unit
- Risk assessment and safety planning for those currently in or leaving a relationship
- Information about protection orders and the justice system
- Shelter access support
- Referrals for adults and children
- Accompaniment to court, police, and safety-related appointments
- Groups for survivors of intimate partner and family violence
- Quick referrals to specialized counselling
- Support by phone or in-person
- Information about legislation specific to survivors of intimate partner, family and sexual violence, such as Victim’s Compensation, breaking a lease or legislated leave from work
- Assistance with Victim Impact Statements
- Early Intervention for Families
- Older Adult Response Service
- Support for cases of misconduct within the military.
