Service Description
Provides an opportunity for newcomers to discuss their feelings and develop better ways of coping with stress, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, and adjusting to a new culture.
Interpretation, childcare and transportation services are available if needed.
- Counselling – one-on-one sessions
- Counselling for Adolescents and the Parents of Adolescents – works specifically with youth and issues related to youth
- Parenting Support – newcomer parents and their children can access family counselling
- Landing and Settling Group Therapy – help newcomers develop strategies for dealing with a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, family violence, and anger management.
Eligibility
Newcomers to Canada.

Documents Required
New clients need to show one item from each of the following categories:
1. Government Identification:
- Passport
- Identification card
- Driver’s license
2. Immigration Documents:
- Permanent Resident Card
- Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR)
- Study Permit
- Work Permit
- Visitor Record
- Proof of Citizenship
