Service Description

Provides settlement-based English language training to newcomers to Canada.

  • Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)
  • Stage 1 and 2 Language Instruction

Free childcare is provided for the evening classes.

Eligibility

◾ Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) - Permanent Residents
◾ Stage 1 and 2 Language Instruction - Permanent Resident, Open Work Permit holder, or a recent Canadian Citizen (within the last ten years)

Application Process

◾ Permanent Residents - contact the Moose Jaw Multicultural Office at 306-693-4677.
◾ Temporary Residents, Provincial Nominee, or new Canadian citizen- contact the Moose Jaw Newcomer Welcome Centre at 306-692-6892.

Documents Required

Usually, immigration documents and Social Insurance Number. Contact for more information.

Hours of Operation

LINC: half days Monday - Friday.
Morning classes - 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Afternoon classes - 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Stage 1 and 2 Language Instruction
Beginner/Intermediate: Monday and Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Intermediate/Advanced: Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 - 9:00 pm
