Service Description
Supported Independent Living Program provides single adults, couples, and families with children person-centred support that varies based on the unique needs and requests of each individual. Support may include:
- Budgeting,
- Meal Planning and Preparation,
- Grocery Shopping,
- Housekeeping and Laundry,
- Appointments,
- Seeking Safe and Affordable Housing,
- Applications and Reporting for SAID and SHC,
- Preparing for and Seeking Meaningful Employment,
- Social and Recreational Activities.
Enhanced Supportive Independent Living Program provides enhanced staff support and an environment for those wanting to foster skill development that one would require to live in total independence.
Eligibility
Adults with intellectual disabilities who meet the mandate of the Ministry of Social Services - Community Living Service Delivery.
Application Process
Applications are submitted through the individual's Community Services Worker with the Ministry of Social Services - Community Living Services Delivery.
Documents Required
Must include a SARC Application Form and a recent Daily Living Support Assessment cover sheet.
