Service Description
Provides a number of early learning and childcare programs, including:
- Early Learning and Childcare Subsidy Program – Available September to June
- Let’s Soar Program – Provides financial support to families of Métis children (ages 0-8) who have additional or specialized needs
- Little Buffalo Reader Program – Children can receive an age-appropriate book in the mail every month until their fifth birthday
- Gear Up for School Program – Métis children can receive a backpack filled with school supplies
- Let’s Play Program – A reimbursement program that helps with the cost of enrollment and equipment for children enrolled in extracurricular activities.
Eligibility
1. Childcare Subsidy - Families with children that are registered Métis citizens between the ages of 0-12, who are paying more than $220/month in childcare. 2. Let's Soar Program - Families with registered Métis children aged 0-8. 3. Little Buffalo Reader Program - Registered Métis children aged 0-4. 4. Let's Play Program - Families with registered Métis children aged 0-8.
