Service Description
Dementia Friendly Community is a place where individuals living with Dementia, and their care partners that support them, are able to participate to the fullest extent possible. It is a link between Dementia Family Communities, local libraries, other hubs for meaningful connection and life long learning.
Program that allows individuals to learn more about dementia and what they can do to help make the province a more supportive, accessible and inclusive place for those affected by it. By learning more and using the knowledge in their everyday interactions, Dementia Friends help reduce stigma and make communities a better place to live. Anyone can sign-up to be a Dementia Friend and receive a monthly newsletter, which shares practical tips, information and strategies. Visit the website to sign up.
