Service Description
Provides certified service dogs to military veterans and first responders who suffer with physical and/or psychological injuries as a result of their service.
Also provides handouts (available online) to the public for additional information regarding service dogs, including:
- Service Dogs DO’s and DON’TS
- Travelling with a service animal
- How can I make my place of business a positive experience for a person with an invisible disability?
- Invisible Disabilities are Real
- Can I stop a service dog from coming into my business?
- How do I know if a service dog or service animal is real
- Service Dogs Come in All Shapes & Sizes
Eligibility
First Responders in Canada:
- Medical Personnel (doctors, nurses, medics, corpsmen, paramedics)
- Police Officers (RCMP, Municipal police, Corrections Officers)
Military Personnel in Canada:
- Regular Forces, Reserve Forces, Veterans
- 100% volunteer driven
Fees
Service dogs are provided at no cost.
