Service Description
An enriched parent-driven program that accommodates individuals who describe themselves as having an intellectual disability or as having been in special classes at school, and their children. It teaches nutrition, positive discipline, self-esteem, and developmental stages of children in a warm, supportive environment. Class facilitators provide additional advocacy and support to the parents enrolled in the classes.
Eligibility
Intended for parents with intellectual disabilities or special needs who have children.
Application Process
Registration and referrals are required. Call office, or email program contact, for details.
