Service Description
Walk-in clinic that provides full legal representation to low-income members of Saskatoon at no cost. Clients are assisted by law students (under supervision of practicing lawyers) or by staff supervising lawyers. Issues may include:
- Landlord-Tenant Issues
- Summary Criminal Matters
- Prison Law Matters
- Compensation claims (i.e. 60s Scoop, Day Schools)
- Social Assistance Issues
- Human Rights Issues
- Immigration and Refugee Matters
- Wills and more
- Guardianships
- Power of Attorney and more.
NOTE: The Walk-in Advocacy Clinic does NOT provide services in the areas of family law, serious criminal matters and many areas of civil law.
Eligibility
- Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. - You must first be denied Legal Aids' services if your issue is family or criminal related.
