Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 11 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence.

Parents/guardians are required to volunteer and contribute resources or materials such as books, toys, educational materials, etc.

• Highly prioritizes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills recognizing the interconnected nature of a child’s development.
• Program is designed to create a dynamic and engaging atmosphere where children naturally absorb knowledge through play.
• Emphasizes the importance of curiosity, creativity, and exploration, as they believe these qualities lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Programs and Activities

• Provides opportunities to promote exploration and hands-on experiences.
• Through age-appropriate activities, aims to nurture each child’s unique strengths and interests.
• To ensure a comprehensive approach to child development, prefers the curriculum to include activities that enhance language acquisition, problem-solving, fine and gross motor skills, and social interactions.

Nutrition

• Follows all requirements regarding nutrition as outlined by the Ministry of Education, Early Years Branch.
• Milk is served twice per day. (Typically snack and lunch)
• Morning snack consists of a fruit or vegetable along with one other food group. (Dairy, grain, meat/alternative)
• Lunch consists of all four main food groups. (Fruit/vegetable, dairy, grain, meat/alternative)
• Afternoon snack consists of a fruit or vegetable with another food group.
• Menus are posted monthly on the parent information board.
