Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to 12 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Operated in the provider’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi languages.

Parents/guardians are invited to visit the daycare at any time and participation is always welcomed. On occasions such as field trips, parent/guardian help may be requested. Also provides opportunities for parents/guardians to share their skills, cultures, and hobbies.

Programs and Activities

• Flexible daily schedule, accommodating unplanned events and opportunities.
• Movie days once or twice a month with age-appropriate, G-rated films, and picnic-style snacks.
• Daily outdoor play in the backyard, weather permitting.
• Structured activities including circle time, arts and crafts, story time, and group play.
• Nap time for children, quiet activities for non-nappers, and structured play until parent pick-up.

Nutrition

• Nutritious snacks and meals provided, following Canada’s Food guide, promoting happy, healthy, development.
• Allergies noted; special diets accommodated with parents/guardians providing necessary food.
• Fruit/vegetable included with every meal; milk served twice daily; water offered.
• Mealtimes structured: mid-morning snack, lunch with all four food groups, afternoon snack.
• School-age children served upon arrival from school; weekly menu displayed for reference.
