Child Care

A licensed child care home that provides care and supervision for up to eight children between the ages of six months and 13 years. Operated in the owner’s private residence. Child care provider is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi languages. Chld Care Subsidy not accepted.

Philosophy

• Strongly believe that children develop and learn best when they have opportunities to:
  • observe and be part of respectful, supporting and friendly adult-child and child-child interactions
  • engage in experimenting, exploring, creating and idea-sharing, which are all part of “free play” offered at the daycare
  • make choices and become involved in activities that are personally and developmentally right for them.

Programs and Activities

• Group activities, free play, arts and crafts, outdoor play, morning and afternoon snack, lunch, quiet play, individual activities, afternoon nap (if needed), clean up.

Nutrition

• Two nutritious snacks and lunch are provided for all children – morning snack consists of milk and a fruit – lunch consists of servings from the four major food groups along with milk – afternoon snack consists of vegetables
• Parents may send a breakfast if their child(ren) arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 am
• No outdoor food will be allowed for other meals unless the child needs formula, breast milk, or specific baby food. All baby food and bottle feedings must be supplied by the parents.
