A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 45 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. Child Care Subsidy accepted. 

Parents/guardians have the opportunity to fundraise.

Philosophy

• Believe it is important for children to have not only a fun but a nurturing environment.
• Believe that it is important for children to start developing their social and problem solving skills, by learning to solve their own problems and use their words.
• Work with parents by giving daily updates on how their child’s day went, working together with them on discipline and toileting habits, so that things are not so different from home and daycare.

Programs and Activities

• Have a play based program, where children learn from their playing. 
• Have separate classrooms for each age group (infants, toddlers, preschoolers) so that they can excel through developmentally appropriate activities geared to their age group.
• Try to give children as much choice as they have in their day as possible, by gearing activities towards their interests.
• Structure the day with as much routine as possible for the kids by holding circle times, going outside, little bits of free play, and child led/teacher led activities.
• Also encourage physical activities of many kinds by having all sorts of equipment to encourage gross motor play.

Nutrition

• Believe that nutrition is very important.
• Demonstrate healthy eating habits with the children by encouraging and not forcing children to eat, sitting with them during meal times and starting appropriate conversation.
• Follow the Canada Food Guide to ensure that the children are getting all the nutrients that they need.
