Service Description

CHEP supports a number of children’s school programs, including:

Centralized Kitchen – Prepares, packages, and delivers fresh wholefood snacks and lunches to students in Saskatoon schools.

Fresh Food For Kids – Provides subsidized vegetables and fruit to Saskatoon schools with in-house nutrition programs and offers bulk buying prices for their ordering needs throughout the school year.

Milk Matters – Provides subsidized milk each year to Saskatoon schools to ensure that students have one full serving of milk each day.

Chefs in Training – A five-week, after school program for students age 10 to 15 at local participating schools. Students learn about safe food handling, kitchen safety, food preparation, and how to read and make a variety of recipes.

The Big Crunch – In collaboration with the Coalition for Health School Food, this is a yearly event that invites students and teachers to learn about healthy eating.
