Service Description

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 41 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years.

Philosophy

  • Believe that children learn through play.
  • Goal is to provide an environment that encourages learning and growth.
  • Want all children to feel safe and comfortable in their care.

Programs and Activities

  • Centres will be enriched with activities to stimulate social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional development.
  • Help build each child’s self-esteem by providing developmentally appropriate activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Programs respond to the children’s interests and natural curiosity.
  • Early Childhood Educators reflect on the children’s development and interests to help guide programs for each individual child.
  • Outside and physical activity are also an important part of programming.

Nutrition

  • Have an eight week rotating menu that has been created by their chef who follows the Canada Food Guide.
  • Each meal or snack is served with a vegetable or fruit.
  • Food is offered to the children at least every 3 hours.
  • Water is available all day for the children to help themselves.
  • Everything is baked with whole wheat flour and they only serve whole wheat pasta, brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole wheat wraps, and items that are low in fat, salt, and sugar.

Fees

The $10-a-day child care program is a government initiative that reduces child care fees to an average of $10 per day for eligible families.

Infants (6 weeks - 18 months)
Monthly - $217.50 ($776.91) per month. 10 days or more
Daily - $10 ($54.39) - max 9 days

Toddlers (18 months - 30 months)
Monthly - $217.50 ($670.48) per month. 10 days or more
Daily - $10 ($47.03) - max 9 days

Preschool (30 months - 5 years old)
Monthly - $217.50 ($627.91) per month, 10 days or more
Daily - $10 ($43.95). max 9 days.

School-Age (6 years old - 12 years old)
Monthly $475.50 per month.
Daily - $31.50
Hourly $8.40
