Service Description
Provides counseling and support to adults with alcohol and/or drug-related problems and to their family members. Services include:
- Assessments: helps determine how individual’s alcohol and/or drug use (or someone else’s use) may be causing problems, and what solutions are available.
- Free individual and group counselling for:
- Adults seeking help for their own alcohol and or other drug related problems
- Adults who are affected by a family member’s substance use.
Eligibility
Adults with alcohol and/or drug related problems and their family members.
Application Process
Contact the Mental Health and Addiction Service Intake Line (306-786-0558 or 1-888-989-8444).
Self-referrals and referrals from physicians or other health professionals are accepted.
When you contact Mental Health and Addiction Services, you will be connected with an intake worker whose role is to gather information from you, assess your needs and connect you with the right service(s). When suitable, you will be connected to any of the following:
- Detox Centres
- In-patient Treatment Centres
- Community self-help groups
- Other community resources.
