Service Description
Administers contracts on behalf of individuals who have contributed towards the purchase of an annuity either on their own or through their employers as part of a pension plan.
NOTE:
In 1975, an Act of Parliament formally ended the sale of government annuities. Although it is not possible to purchase a government annuity today, the Canadian Government Annuities Branch still handles the administration of annuities currently under payment, as well as those to become payable at a later date. Visit the website for more information.
Eligibility
Check with your employer. If you were working before March 1979 your employer may have purchased a group contract.
